Early life
Patience Ozokwo was raised in Lagos and attended Abimbola Gibson Memorial School. She was born in the hamlet of Amaobo, Ngwo in present-day Enugu State, Nigeria. Since she was in primary school, Patience Ozokwor has been passionate about acting and has participated in numerous theatrical productions. Later, Patience studied at the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu and graduated with a degree in fine and applied arts. She participated in a Radio Drama before beginning her career as an actress. She appeared in the soap opera “Someone Cares” on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Having three biological children and five adopted ones who all bear her name, she was married at the age of 19. Ozokwor lost her husband in 2000, making her a widow.
Career
Before she became an actor, she worked as a broadcaster and announcer for Radio Nigeria. She gained notoriety for her performance in the 1999 film Authority. Her debut television drama, Someone Cares, got an award from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Since becoming well-known, she has appeared in more than 100 films as an actor.
