Oluseye Desmond Sodamola was the third of five children born on June 2, 1984, in Lagos. He completed his elementary and secondary schooling in Lagos State before relocating to Ogun State to attend Olabisi Onabanjo University to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering, where he earned a BSc.
When Spinall was a young child, his parents played him some vinyl albums. According to Spinall, “In the morning my dad would wake up, open the drawers, and start playing some Fela Kuti, and King Sunny Adé recordings.” After seeing a DJ he hired to play at his high school, this influenced him and ignited his enthusiasm for music.
