Early life

Jacques Bermon Webster II was born in Houston, Texas on April 30, 1991. Webster lived with his grandmother in South Park, Houston, from the age of one to six. The area, located in south-central Houston, was infamous for violence and had an influence on a young Webster. “My grandma lived in the ‘hood while I was growing up, so I saw a lot of odd stuff. [I saw] mad bums and crazy spazzed out motherfuckers, as well as people who appeared strange, hungry, and grimy [sic]. ‘I gotta get the fuck out of this shit,’ I’d always say. It gave me my edge—it shaped who I am today.” Webster relocated to Missouri City, a middle-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Houston.

Scott and OG Chess, one of Scott’s schoolmates, created The Classmates the next year. The Classmates released two albums, one with Buddy Rich in 2009 and the other with Cruis’n USA in 2010. Scott was primarily in charge of production on both projects. The duo remained together until late 2012, when personal conflicts and financial disagreements caused the group to disband.
